The other day I was texting my husband and I told him that I loved him. This is something we say to each other often, but right after I sent it I realized that I love him because I first believed in him.
When we began dating, it was his heart, his integrity, and his passion that I saw first, and those things caused me to believe in him and for his dreams. From there, love grew.
When I met my dearest, closest friends I didn’t love them immediately. I saw their heart, their character, and their pursuit of God and I believed they could do anything. From there, love grew.
We don’t believe in people because we love them. We love them because we first believed in them.
From there, love grows.
